Big Gala News: New Date!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Dorothy Ramon Learning Center’s 2024 Dragonfly Gala is moving to a NEW DATE, Saturday, August 24.
The 501c3 nonprofit Center’s joyous and iconic celebration of Native American Cultures will remain the same time, from 4 to 8 pm, and at the same place, the Morongo Community Center, Morongo Reservation.
The Center is currently reaching out to all who have already reserved seats and tables for the former date. We hope to minimize any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you on the 24th. Questions? EMAIL HERE.
We thank our major gala sponsor, Morongo Band, for all the tremendous support! Thanks also for offering the tribal Community Center on our new date, Aug. 24.
We remain thrilled and excited to honor Malki Museum, the first Native American-run museum on a reservation in the United States, celebrating the museum’s 60th anniversary this year! Please join us!

At the gala, we’ll have about 100 beautiful and fun items lined up for our epic silent auction. Willie Pink is the chef for a delicious dinner. (Don’t forget the yummy desserts.) We’re looking forward to the traditional singing and dancing, and flute music. Our gala cultural exhibits and displays will include a new crowd favorite, a photo booth offered by Morongo Empowerment Program. And, bring a dragonfly (handmade, what have you) and take one home in our famed dragonfly exchange, in which we share the spirit of the dragonfly and our wonderful community of Native and non-Native people unified in saving and sharing Native American cultures.
We still have some seats and tables available, and we ask that you RSVP, so we can plan smoothly: EMAIL. Tickets are $60 for individuals, $1,000, $2,000, or $3,000 for tables.
Thank You!
