We began News from Dorothy Ramon Learning Center weekly online newsletter two years ago during the pandemic so our Native American Elder, Ernest Siva (Cahuilla-Serrano), president of Dorothy Ramon Learning Center, could continue to do what he has dedicated his life to doing: teach, save, and share Native American cultural knowledge with all who are interested in learning.
We have gained and learned so much in return from you, our ever-expanding community of subscribers. Thank you! We are looking forward, honored to continue sharing Southern California Native American cultures, languages, history, and traditional arts with you in this newsletter. Ernest Siva began our first online newsletter with a video singing the Dragonfly Song, and it’s in that spirit we have continued with the News every Wednesday.
You can read all our News archives for free, here. Looking ahead: We have couple cultural adventures planned after our Dragonfly Gala, and we plan to take you all with us, online via News from Dorothy Ramon Learning Center. So, stay tuned.
Now, we need a little help from you. Please tell us more about what you want to read. Or share! What would you like to tell people about being Native American? What would you like to read about? Please EMAIL us.
Reading, sharing, and subscribing also all help; thank you! Thanks for saving and sharing Native American cultures with Ernest Siva and Dorothy Ramon Learning Center.
Come celebrate Native cultures and arts with us in person!
Come to the Dragonfly Gala! This is the last call to save your seat on Aug. 13, 2022.
We thank the Morongo Band of Mission Indians for generous sponsorship of the 2022 Dragonfly Gala. We thank our volunteers who are busy getting ready for Saturday!
